BOTOX Botulinum Toxin is a pharmaceutical drug FDA-approved, made from Clostridium botulinum bacterium. The Botox injection is a naturally purified protein derived from the toxin and used for both medical and cosmetic procedures. It works as a muscle relaxant and stops the muscle from functioning by blocking the neuromuscular transmission, therefore, stopping the chemical messages from the nerve to the muscle. It is FDA-approved for the treatment of wrinkles on the face and neck and fine lines. A range of Botox treatments can address a wide range of problem areas. The main area of treatment is the upper face region. This is broadly divided into three regions.
